The principal diamond is 3.5mm x 3.3mm, the brooch is 3.2cm in diameter, and it weighs 6.7g. The estimated total carat weight is about 1.25 carats. It is unmarked, and fitted with a safety chain that could be removed in order to use that loop to attach a bail. The setting has no visible stone replacement or repair signs. The central stone clarity is approximately VS, and color is G-H. The brooch has no hallmarks or stamps, but was described as \"presumed gold\" (likely silver-topped gold) by the auction house I purchased it from. The ring is a U.S. size 7, or UK size M, and could be resized by a jeweler, though one would have to be careful to preserve the assay marks. It is in good antique condition, stones are relatively well matched, and to my knowledge, they are all natural stones (the auction house I purchased it from did not indicate that any stones are synthetic, which would be standard practice to disclose). However, they did indicate that several have been replaced, though they did not indicate when. The largest ruby measures approximately 5.0 x 3.7mm. No large nicks or chips in the stones, just some light scratching and surface wear to the metal and high points that is commensurate with age.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBox shown is not included, but it will arrived carefully packed in a different box. The bow is set with sparkling paste stones that mimic diamonds, dazzling brilliantly hundreds of years later. It includes the chain, which is 24 inches in length. I am not entirely sure if the chain is original to the pendant, but it was sold to me at auction as one piece, with no indication from the auctioneer that the chain was of a later make. However, the bolt ring clasp appears to be a more modern replacement.
