De même, si Hester Prynne était vivante aujourd’hui (et réelle), nous l’honorerions pour sa compassion, sa résilience et sa force intérieure, plutôt que de la faire cacher ce qui la rend unique.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e Le bracelet Hester est un bracelet antique doré, enchanteur et délicat, datant de la fin de l'époque géorgienne. Il est serti de pierres magnifiques, riches et lumineuses (présumées grenat, mais non testées, je le vends donc comme un bracelet à pierres factices). Les pastilles de grenat sont serties dans des montures à fond clos, en forme de croûte de tarte, avec un feuilletage sous les pierres, ce qui amplifie encore leur éclat (l'eau peut endommager les sertissages feuilletés, il est donc important de ne pas mouiller le bracelet). Le bracelet se ferme avec un fermoir à languette et rainure, le fermoir de la languette étant astucieusement caché dans l'un des sertissages des pierres. Ce type de fermoir est fantastique, car il permet de le fermer soi-même ! La monture en or possède également une belle patine qui témoigne un peu de son âge, mais ce n'est pas grave, car le vieillissement est beau. Normalement, j'aime bien nettoyer et polir mes pièces anciennes assez soigneusement, mais il y avait quelque chose dans la patine dorée de celui-ci qui fonctionnait si bien avec les pierres que j'ai décidé de le laisser tel quel. Je peux seulement imaginer le poignet délicat qu'il devait orner il y a quelques centaines d'années… où il a été, les dîners, les danses et les soirées qu'il a vus, témoignant du romantisme d'antan tout en scintillant à la lumière des bougies.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e Le bracelet Hester mesure 6,5 pouces lorsque la languette est insérée, et 7 pouces au total lorsqu'il est déboutonné et que la longueur de la languette est ajoutée. Poids total : 13,26 grammes. Non marqué et non testé, mais semble être un alliage doré, non en or. Veuillez noter qu'il s'agit d'une pièce ancienne, et qu'elle a plus de 100 ans. En tant que tel, c'est une pièce d'occasion et elle n'est pas en parfait état. Les pièces anciennes présentent presque toujours des traces de patine, d'usure superficielle, de petites entailles et d'autres signes témoignant de leur âge.
