Meet The Marjorie: The Marjorie is the kind of treasure you may find in your grandmother's attic, tucked away among pressed flowers, old journals, and handwritten love letters. You might find her in a small jewelry box, kept safe among the things from her youth; the things that remind you how young she once was. You can no longer ask her for every single story behind each of these sentimental things, but sometimes, being able to hold onto something you know meant a lot to her, like The Marjorie, is enough.
The Marjorie is a lovely, sentimental romantic ring, of English origin, dating to sometime around the early to mid 20th century. It has full hallmarks, the first half of it reading “P & SJ / 375 / 375/" to indicate the maker's mark, and marks to indicate the gold purity required by both British and international standards. Following it is a lion symbol indicating it was made in London (there is no date letter, so unfortunately I can’t give the ring an exact year). Made of 9 carat gold, this piece has a beautiful inscription engraved on the inside that reads “Love you”.
It measures as a U.S. size 12.5, so it may have been a men’s ring, or a glove ring. Either way, it was clearly a deeply beloved and sentimental piece. Perhaps you can add to its legacy of love.
It is in excellent antique condition, with no cracks or major scratches. However, please note that this is still an antique/vintage piece. As such, it is a pre-owned piece and is not in mint condition. Antique pieces almost always have hints of patina, surface wear, small nicks, and other signs commensurate with its age. Please keep this in mind before deciding if a piece is right for you. I have done my best to document all the details of the piece both in writing and photographs to help you make your decision. I ship both domestically within the United States and internationally to most countries. The United States Postal Service offers both domestic and international shipping with options to insure a package and have signed delivery; however, UPS is also available for domestic shipping but will cost more. These options should be automatically calculated at checkout. For international shipping, USPS, DHL, and UPS Express International are the options available through Shopify. Please let me know if you need to make alternate arrangements.
RETURN POLICY:
I am happy to accept returns within 14 days of receipt of the item if you aren’t happy with your purchase, so long as the item is returned undamaged in its original condition.
